Last night, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez made his debut for Manchester United and what a debut it was. Against the MLS All-Stars, Hernandez made a beauty of a goal. What I think is interesting to note here was the crowd’s reaction. The game was played in Houston, Texas which has a large Mexican-American population. Despite wearing the colours of a English team, the Mexican-American fans were celebrating their star graduating to the big time. Hernandez is the first Mexican player to play for an English Premier team.
