50 Favorite Film Music Cues - Stranger than Fiction
Wreakless Eric - (I’d Go The) Whole Wide World
“(I’d Go The) Whole Wide World” is a song written by English rock and roll singer-songwriter Eric Goulden, better known as Wreckless Eric. The song was never a chart hit for Goulden, though it subsequently became his most well-known recording. I’ve never found Will Ferrell particularly charming as an actor, but his film Stranger than Fiction is the exception. I love this scene where he picks up the guitar and starts playing this song as Maggie Gyllenhaal’s character looks on. The scene and the song go so well together and you are charmed by the song and the character.
