    “Twist and Shout” was originally recorded by the Top Notes and then covered by The Isley Brothers in 1962.The song became The Isley Brothers first Top 40 hit on both the pop and R&B charts. In 1963, it was covered by The Beatles on their first UK album, Please Please Me. In 1986, after being featured in this sequence in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, the song charted again in the U.S, peaking at number 23.
